No. 2: Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers OT

  • PFF grade – 80.4

Taylor Moton is now considered as one of the NFL’s best edge protectors. His level of consistently was good before the 2020 season, but it’s now at an elite level.

This has been a huge help to the Carolina Panthers, especially with Russell Okung missing so much time through injury. Moton has coped with some outstanding pass-rushers with ease this season and also saw the likes of Joey Bosa and Chandler Jones want no part of him during their respective encounters.

Moton is in the final year of his rookie deal and is set to be a rich man this offseason. Spotrac projects the lineman to command an annual salary of $16.3 million on a four-year, $65.56 million deal and the Panthers would be wise to get the player whatever he wants.

No. 1: Brian Burns – Carolina Panthers DE

  • PFF grade – 83.9

The best-graded Panthers player by Pro Football Focus is Brian Burns, which shouldn’t come as a big surprise to anybody. The defensive end has come on leaps and bounds this season and is a superstar in the making.

Burns has always had elite explosiveness, which has been the catalyst behind his success this season. What is equally as impressive regarding the former first-round pick is the way he’s developed other areas of his game to become a prolific three-down defensive lineman.

This is yet another high-end NFL Draft pick that Carolina has struck gold with. Burns has the potential to be an all-time Panthers great and is quickly emerging as one of the league’s brightest young players getting to the quarterback.
