What things should Carolina Panthers fans be thankful for?

Thanksgiving Day is upon us, which got us thinking about what sort of things that fans of the Carolina Panthers should be thankful for. This is something that might be hard to find given what we’ve seen from the team of late, but there could be some light at the end of the tunnel if Sunday’s shutout win over the Detroit Lions is any indication.

It was always going to be difficult for the Carolina Panthers after so many changes during the offseason. The organization completely shifted its dynamic after some memorable moments over the last decade during Ron Rovera’s reign, but the simple fact of the matter is that things became increasingly stagnant and a fresh approach was needed.

This is always an exciting time of year. Christmas is just around the corner and the business end of the NFL season is now in full swing.

Although the Panthers don’t have much hope of making the playoffs this year, here are five things that fans should be thankful for.

Matt Rhule – Carolina Panthers HC

It might have been an up and down season for the Panthers in 2020, but fans can take some heart from the fact they’ve got the right man to steer them forward. Head coach Matt Rhule has made a tremendous transition from the college ranks in the most difficult of circumstances to get the entire organization believing once again.

Carolina brought in Rhule thanks in no small part to his exceptional reputation for building up struggling programs back to prominence at Baylor and Temple. Plenty of college coaches haven’t made the same impact at the next level, but he’s off to a good start.
