An exciting future for the Carolina Panthers
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the Carolina Panthers. But there are some exciting young pieces that could form the foundation of a successful future.
The roster isn’t perfect, not by any stretch of the imagination. Some big decisions need to be made once again in 2021 and if the front office can get these right, then it might put Carolina in a good position to mount a serious postseason challenge next time around.
Players such as Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, and Robby Anderson are electrifying on offense. And the Panthers also need to tie down out-of-contract duo Taylor Moton and Curtis Samuel to extensions they no doubt deserve thanks to their efforts this season.
The future also looks bright on defense. Brian Burns has been a revelation and in second-round pick Jeremy Chinn, the Panthers have a vibrant presence at the second level that can make plays at will.
Others such as Derrick Brown, Rasul Douglas, Donte Jackson, and Yetur Gross-Matos will also feature heavily next season and possibly beyond. So although there might have been some doom and gloom during the current campaign, Panthers fans can be thankful that an exciting future awaits them.
