Carolina Panthers at Vikings: Best bets

Most betting firms have the Vikings favored by 3.5 points. This is to be expected of a team going into the game having won three of their last four and playing on home soil.

However, there is not going to be any home-field advantage in terms of crowd noise due to COVID-19 restrictions, which levels the playing field somewhat. This line would be even tighter has Christian McCaffrey proved his fitness in time, but Mike Davis has proved more than a capable replacement for most of the 2020 season.

The Carolina Panthers have tasted defeat seven times in 11 contests, which ended their slim hopes of attaining an unlikely playoff spot after their three-game winning run earlier this season. There does appear to be light at the end of the tunnel if their last performance was any indication and providing Teddy Bridgewater’s nerves don’t get the better of him against the team that drafted him, they should be able to keep things competitive.

This has been evident throughout the campaign from Carolina’s perspective – albeit they’ve failed to come through in the clutch more often than not. That is why betting the +3.5 might be the smart way to go.

There could be plenty of points scored in this one when one looks at just how many primary weapons are available for both teams. That makes betting over 51.0 is the best option.
