Will Teddy Bridgewater show out against his former team in Week 12?

Teddy Bridgewater might come across as one of the collect characters around. But the Carolina Panthers quarterback will sure to be feeling the nerves when he takes the field at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

The signal-caller is set to assume command under center after missing one game with a knee injury. P.J. Walker performed well in Teddy Bridgewater’s absence and this only increases the pressure on the former first-round pick to deliver the goods when it matters most.

Bridgewater is still held in high regard by the Vikings, who took the difficult decision to move on from the player after he suffered a serious leg injury that almost resulted in amputation and a promising career cut short.

The player did manage to take the field for Minnesota in 2017 before they eventually signed Kirk Cousins to a big-money deal in free agency. It’s been a difficult road back to a starting role for the Louisville product and he will want to prove a point to head coach Mike Zimmer that they let him go too early.

Some fans are hoping Bridgewater comes back to the Vikings once his contract expires in 2023, which is the same time Cousins is also hitting the free-agent market. There is a lot of football to be played between now and then, so his immediate focus will be to lead his team to a notable success at U.S. Bank Stadium heading into their Week 13 bye.
