Teddy Bridgewater’s predicted numbers

  • 25/33 (75.7% completion)
  • 312 passing yards
  • 3 touchdowns
  • 1 interception

If there was ever a game for Teddy Bridgewater to shine, this is it.

The quarterback comes into the game with the spotlight well and truly on him after his previous relationship with the Vikings. This will all count for nothing on the field and it will be up to Bridgewater to prove he is the man to lead the Carolina Panthers moving forward after P.J. Walker demonstrated what getting the ball downfield consistently can do for this high-octane offense in Week 12.

Nobody will know more about how to stop Bridgewater from being effective than Mike Zimmer. But the Vikings defense is not the force it once was after a host of veteran departures in free agency and stud defensive end Danielle Hunter missing the entire season with a serious neck problem.

This could be the game where Bridgewater formally cements himself. It’s been a season of ups and downs so far – and he might not ever win the Cam Newton loyalists over – but a standout showing against the team that drafted and then released him would be a huge step in the right direction.

Expect Joe Brady to get Bridgewater into a rhythm early. If things go well from the outset, it could be his most productive game so far.
