Which former Carolina Panthers could make the Pro Bowl this season?

There are plenty of former Carolina Panthers players who have stood out this season. This was probably to be expected when one considers just how many changes were made across the organization during free agency, with the team opting to go in a completely different direction in pursuit of being a postseason contender once again.

The Carolina Panthers are currently sitting at 4-8 at their Week 13 bye. This would look more promising had they been able to come through in the clutch against some teams who appear as leading contenders for this year’s Super Bowl. But the coaching staff should be under no illusions as to how much more will be needed to get them where they need to go down the line.

It’s always nice to see ex-Panthers doing well, even though some do come with a sense of what might have been if they’d raised their respective games enough in Carolina.

Here are four such individuals who might be celebrating a productive 2020 season with a Pro Bowl selection.

Harrison Butker was drafted in the seventh round by the Panthers in 2017 but failed to make a big enough impression for the franchise to keep him around. He didn’t last long on the waiver wire before the Kansas City Chiefs picked him up, and the rest is history.

Butker is a Super Bowl winner who has been ultra-consistent once again this season. Playing for such an in-form organization will also stand him in good stead, with the kicker completing 89.5 percent of his field-goal attempts that include a season-long of 58 yards.
