Another former member of the Carolina Panthers that could earn a Pro Bowl selection, is Andrew Norwell. The offensive guard has been one of the shining lights on an otherwise disappointing Jacksonville Jaguars team this season and if their overall record doesn’t impact how people are voting too much, then he will be high on the shortlist.

The formidable lineman departed the Panthers before the 2019 season and his presence has been missed. Norwell has given up just two sacks and two penalties from 626 snaps during the campaign on his way to a creditable 69.6 grade from Pro Football Focus, which is some impressive production considering the lack of consistency elsewhere on offense.

Norwell has always been a formidable presence to move off the block, which seems to be getting even better with age. Considering the problems Carolina has had with their interior protection this season – especially from the left-hand side – then their decision not to keep the player around seems even more strange.

That is something the team shouldn’t ponder on too much as they look ahead to possibly becoming a postseason contender in the future. Norwell won’t be anywhere near the playoff picture either, but he might have an individual accolade to show for his efforts.
