4 former Panthers would could make the Pro Bowl this season

Cam Newton – QB
Letting Cam Newton go in the manner they did continues to be a black mark on the Carolina Panthers and their new regime. Some fans are still absolutely furious at the way their former quarterback was treated and this, in turn, has made it more difficult for Teddy Bridgewater to win people over.
Newton did end up securing another starting job elsewhere despite the timing of his release. The New England Patriots managed to secure his services for just $500,000 in guaranteed money and although the supporting cast around him is less than stellar, Bill Belichick’s men still have an outside chance of making the postseason.
If the 2015 NFL MVP can lead them to an unlikely playoff berth. It would be all the vindication Newton needs and a real slap in the face for the Panthers.
His stats don’t jump off the screen this season. But given his popularity and everything the player has been through to get to this point, it might be enough to see him make the Pro Bowl for the fourth time.
Newton has completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 1,984 yards, four touchdowns, and nine interceptions this season. His running exploits have resulted in 387 yards and nine scores, which is further proof of just what a devastating force he is in this particular area of play.
Couple this with Newton contracting COVID-19 when he was generating some early momentum, his production has been largely positive against all odds.
