Which Carolina Panthers players are the cornerstones for future success?

Even though the Carolina Panthers are currently sitting on a 4-8 record at their Week 13 bye. All is not as bad as their record appears.

The fact they’re mixing it with some exceptional teams and more than holding their own at this stage of head coach Matt Rhule’s rebuild is an immensely encouraging sign. Providing the decision-makers get things right in terms of recruitment next spring, the Carolina Panthers might just find themselves in postseason contention sooner than expected.

There is a lot of work that still needs to be done by everyone involved. Certain problems need to be rectified from a coaching perspective and positional groups have to improve the quality of depth in order to make that next step in their development.

The Panthers can take solace from the fact that these five players can be the cornerstone behind any success that comes their way in 2021 and beyond.

Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers OLB

How big of an impact Jeremy Chinn has made during his rookie season cannot be understated. The former Southern Illinois standout has been an incredible presence on defense who has ignited real hope that he can be the man to provide the energy at the second level that departed the organization when Luke Kuechly announced his shock retirement this offseason.

Chinn won the outside linebacker spot in training camp and has made the smoothest of transitions to the next level. There is nothing he cannot do on the football field and when picking out cornerstones to Carolina’s potential success moving forward, he has to be on the list.
