10 best Carolina Panthers players on the roster right now

Who are the 10 best Carolina Panthers players on the roster?
It’s been a 2020 season full of twists and turns for the Carolina Panthers. They are currently enjoying a period of rest on their Week 13 bye, which is tinged with a hint of regret after they let a big lead pass them by in a demoralizing loss at the Minnesota Vikings’ last time out.
This period of reflection should do them some good. Getting to the bye week has been grueling with it being so late and the Carolina Panthers can take great comfort in the fact they’ve gone blow for blow with some exceptional teams this season without quite getting over the line in the clutch.
Nobody is kidding themselves. More is going to be needed in year two of Matt Rhule’s rebuild if they want to become genuine Super Bowl contenders sooner rather than later. But at least the Panthers possess plenty of playmakers on both sides of the ball to build around.
We took a look at and power ranked the 10 best players on Carolina’s roster right now.
No. 10
No. 10: Russell Okung – Carolina Panthers OT
Russell Okung might have had his problems staying healthy this season. But it’s hard to deny he doesn’t still have what it takes when it comes to being a consistent edge protector.
The veteran Pro Bowler has seen it all during his career, including winning a Super Bowl at the expense of the Panthers back in 2015. Okung has given up just two sacks and two penalties from 363 snaps this season on his way to a creditable 74.9 grade from Pro Football Focus and this might just be enough for Carolina to offer him an affordable extension lower than the $13 million in base salary he’s making in 2020.
