Jaylen Twyman – Pittsburgh

If the Carolina Panthers want to bring in another exciting young prospect to pair with Derrick Brown moving forward, then Jaylen Twyman should be high on their list of options. The Pittsburgh prospect has all the tools one looks for in a successful defensive tackle at the next level and providing he has developed away from the college game this year, he could be a real asset from the word go.

Anyone that’s read our recent mock drafts knows how high we are on Twyman. He is a human wrecking ball on the interior who has something Brown doesn’t necessarily possess.

That is getting consistent pressure in the backfield.

Twyman does his best work operating out of the three-technique, which brought an astonishing 10.5 sacks in 2019. The player decided not to participate this season due to COVID-19 health concerns, so it’s hard to gauge just what sort of improvements he’s made from his second year to the third.

If the Panthers could somehow grab him in the third round, it might just be another real steal. Twyman is a dynamic pass-rusher from the defensive tackle spot and if he can assist in run support a little better, someone is going to have a real player on their hands.
