What are the keys to victory for the Carolina Panthers vs. Broncos?

It seems like an age since the Carolina Panthers last took the field in a competitive setting. Matt Rhule’s men are looking to get themselves back on the front foot with a victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 14 at Bank of America Stadium and they should be fresh and ready to go following their long-awaited bye.

The last time we saw the Carolina Panthers on the field was during their capitulation late on at the Minnesota Vikings, which was a damning indictment on just how the season has played out for a new-look roster and a coaching staff that had no real NFL experience coming into the campaign.

Placing so many starting players in the reserve/COVID-19 list when they returned from a few days off has only complicated matters. This represents the most winnable game remaining on Carolina’s schedule and it’s vital they make the most of this opportunity to build momentum ahead of their trip to take on former head coach Ron Rivera and the Washington Football Team in Week 15.

Here are some keys to victory for the Panthers against the Broncos on Sunday.

Get the football out quickly

Despite the Broncos losing stud edge rusher Von Miller earlier this season to injury, they can still generate considerable pressure in opposing backfields. Therefore, it is essential that the Panthers and their quarterback Teddy Bridgewater get the ball out quickly and efficiently in a bid to move the chains.

Bridgewater has an incredible amount of pressure on his shoulders over the remaining four games. He needs to quash the ever-increasing doubts surrounding his long-term future with the organization and the former first-round pick needs to go through his reads quickly and have more courage of his convictions regarding distribution.

If Bridgewater can do this, it will give Carolina a good chance of securing success despite some key individuals set to miss out.
