The 2020 NFL Draft class was expected to be one of the deepest at wide receiver in recent memory and it hasn’t disappointed. Plenty of rookies have made a name for themselves across a host of teams this season, and the Broncos might just have a star on their hands in KJ Hamler.

While Jerry Jeudy gained more exposure as Denver’s first-round selection, Hamler has all the tools needed to forge a hugely successful career at the next level and seems to be growing in stature with every passing game.

The Penn State product possesses a low center of gravity that makes him incredibly elusive and if the Carolina Panthers take his threat lightly, they will pay the price.

Quarterback Drew Lock is going through some struggles as he adjusts to a starting role. But he clearly has plenty going for him in terms of a consistent offensive line and weapons everywhere you look.

Hamler has seen his role increase as the season’s gone on, accumulating 27 receptions from 49 targets, 291 receiving yards, and one touchdown. The player can also be used in the running game if required, but opportunities have been limited in this regard thanks to the presence of stud duo Phillip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon.

The wideout will probably see plenty of Corn Elder at the Panthers, with Hamler doing his best work out of the slot during an encouraging first season in a professional environment.
