Shelby Harris – DL

Shelby Harris is a force to be reckoned with, of that there is little doubt. The defensive lineman plays on the right-hand side of the Broncos 3-4 scheme and, at least from a performance perspective, he is enjoying the best season of his career to date.

Harris has worked hard to emerge as a seventh-round pick into a prominent starting role in Denver. He is a stout presence to move off the block on running downs and can get after the quarterback should the opportunity arise.

This makes him a sneaky danger that the Carolina Panthers have to take seriously. If they focus their attention on the likes of DeShawn Williams and Bradley Chubb, it is sure to come with complications if Harris builds up a head of steam.

The lineman has an exceptional 90.0 grade from Pro Football Focus for his efforts this season, which makes him one of the best in the business. Harris might go somewhat under the radar when it comes to other high-profile names on Denver’s defense. But he is arguably their most important player at the top of his game.

Russell Okung and Chris Reed will be tasked with preventing Harris from having too much of an impact on proceedings. Hopefully, they can do enough to limit how much damage he can cause in pursuit of Carolina’s fifth win of the season.
