Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers OT

Keeping Taylor Moton around should be priority No. 1 for the Carolina Panthers this offseason. The offensive lineman is one of the best in the business at protecting the edge and it would be a cataclysmic error by the front office if they let him walk.

Moton has lived up to his billing as a second-round pick back in 2017 to become arguably the NFL’s best right tackle. His level of consistency is absolutely outstanding and the way he effortlessly deals with even the most formidable pass rushers has only heightened his overall influence on a roster that has high hopes for the future.

Simply put, Moton has it all.

He is strong enough to make lanes on running downs and provides exceptional stability in passing situations. Tackles like the former Western Michigan standout don’t come along every day and if Carolina was unsure as to whether give him top dollar, they should be left in no doubt whatsoever after this season.

Moton is projected to make around $14.7 million a year on his next deal, which is top-end money for a player at the position.

And he is worth every penny.

If the Panthers were smart, they’d have paid him already. Although it isn’t time to panic yet regarding a lack of movement regarding Moton’s extension, that time is fast approaching.
