David Tepper is doing his part to get the Carolina Panthers to greatness.

There has been plenty said about David Tepper since he assumed ownership of the Carolina Panthers. The billionaire is a shrewd businessman who clearly has the biggest ambitions to lead the organization back to prominence and his fierce determination to make these plans a reality are gathering pace with every passing week.

It is an exciting time to be a Carolina Panthers fan. Head coach Matt Rhule has made a good start to life at the next level after Tepper gave him a seven-year, $60 million deal this offseason and although there is much work still to be done, it’s hard to look at the way he’s conducted himself in the most difficult of circumstances and not be impressed.

Tepper isn’t shying away from being bold, which is the way he’s always done things.

And the Panthers are sure to reap the rewards.

One only had to look at the upcoming development at Rock Hill to see that. Tepper’s desire to build a state-of-the-art practice facility and team headquarters has continued undeterred despite the ongoing complications surrounding COVID-19, which would be another huge shot in the arm for everyone associated with the organization.

Tepper might be a polarizing figure. But he has completely changed the culture in Carolina behind the scenes.

Jerry Richardson was forced to sell the franchise in disgrace and Tepper not only had to build back up the team’s reputation. He also had to get an organization on the decline heading in the right direction once again.

A big job, by anybody’s standards.

However, if there’s one thing to be said about Tepper. It’s that he relishes a challenge.
