5 Panthers players who need more reps over the next 3 games

P.J. Walker – Carolina Panthers QB
There is a considerable amount of pressure building on Teddy Bridgewater. The Carolina Panthers invested a lot to bring the quarterback to the organization in free agency and questions still remain about whether he is the man to lead moving forward.
If Bridgewater continues to struggle over the next three games, it might see Matt Rhule left with no other option other than to bench the former first-round pick in favor of P.J. Walker, who showed promise on his debut earlier this season when Carolina’s No. 1 option was absent with an MCL sprain.
The tape on Bridgewater is there for all to see.
As are his limitations.
But what the Panthers could potentially have in Walker remains unclear.
The former XFL star has a cannon for an arm and has no trouble making plays on the move when pressure inevitably comes. Walker has an intriguing skill set, of that there is little doubt. But just what sort of damage putting him in would do to Bridgewater’s confidence is something that will surely be considered before going down this particular route.
This is a precarious situation and one that must be handled correctly. However, another poor outing from Bridgewater at the Green Bay Packers on Saturday Night Football and the calls for Walker will be deafening.
