Zach Wilson – BYU

There is no quarterback in college football who is generating more buzz outside of Trevor Lawrence than Zach Wilson. The BYU gunslinger has a fearlessness under center that is going to make him a highly coveted prospect during the evaluation process and a top-five selection is not out of the realms of possibility.

All it takes is one team to fall in love with Wilson.

And judging by his level of production in 2020, there might be more than a few suitors.

Wilson can do it all. He has an elite arm that he is not afraid to use, can get out on the move if pressure arrives, and comes through in the big moments more often than not.

If anything, the one area that Wilson needs to make improvements is with his check-downs. Not everything can be a big throw at the next level and once he figures this out, someone is going to have a real player on their hands.

This would be a refreshing change from the play of Teddy Bridgewater with the Carolina Panthers this season. He has been criticized for not taking enough risks downfield and it’s unlikely this area of his game will change having been much this way throughout his career.

The Panthers would definitely be in play for Wilson considering the challenges awaiting them over the next three games. But whether they pull the trigger is another matter entirely.
