Kyle Trask – Florida

Kyle Trask’s journey from perennial back-up to a potential NFL quarterback is an inspiring one. The Florida signal-caller has made the most out of getting a starting opportunity with the Gators and he now has two seasons of solid film that should serve him well in pursuit of earning a shot at the next level.

Trask is a huge body that is difficult to bring down. His level of production in 2020 has been extraordinary, with the player boasting a 70.2 percent completion percentage, 3,717 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

The best might still be to come from Trask. Although he probably won’t be taken in the first round, if the Carolina Panthers choose to address other needs then he represents a solid option on day two that could develop into a productive starter with even more time to develop.

One area of Trask’s game that needs brushing up is his ability to recognize where pressure is coming from and act accordingly. This might be down to a lack of starting experience throughout his career. But the game speeds up considerably in the NFL and this is a challenge he has to be ready for.

Trask has a good arm, but not a great one. He also needs to improve the trajectory of his throws to ensure they get to his designated target in the quickest time possible. However, there is a lot to work with, and his willingness to lead from the front and hold himself accountable will go down well during the interview process.
