Final. 32. 45. 27. 87

Studs and duds from the Carolina Panthers’ loss vs. Broncos.

The dust is now settling on another performance from the Carolina Panthers that won’t live long in the memory. Their 32-27 home loss to the Denver Broncos was not what everybody associated with the organization expected after the bye week and they are now in real danger of finishing the 2020 season on four wins.

We thought things might get worse before they get better with the Carolina Panthers, and that is proving to be the case. This doesn’t look like the same team that won three straight earlier in the campaign and perhaps most concerning of all is that this group was supposed to get better the longer the season went on.

Defensively, that is definitely the case. They are performing at a high level for the most part despite some obvious deficiencies that need to be addressed this offseason. But the same cannot be said for what is transpiring on the offensive side of the football.

Here are six studs and duds from the Panthers’ latest disappointing defeat at Bank of America Stadium.

Dud No. 1

Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater – Carolina Panthers QB

Let’s keep this short.

Teddy Bridgewater was just not good enough.

The free-agent signing turned in another less than stellar performance despite the completion percentage being high once again. This particular statistic is a moot point regarding Bridgewater at this juncture and the longer his indecision in the pocket goes on, the less chance he’ll have at convincing people that he is the man to lead the Panthers moving forward.

It’s going to be an immensely challenging final three weeks of the season for Carolina and its quarterback. The Packers, Washington, and Saints all boast formidable defenses that are going to make things difficult for Bridgewater to get back on the right track.
