6 studs and duds from the Carolina Panthers’ loss vs. Broncos

Rasul Douglas – Carolina Panthers CB
It was an afternoon to forget for Rasul Douglas. The free-agent signing endured one of his disappointing games of the season by some margin and the promising start he made to his time with the Carolina Panthers now seems like a distant memory.
At one stage it looked like Douglas might be the signing of the summer after being picked up off waivers shortly before Week 1. He slotted in seamlessly to the cornerback unit and was given plenty of responsibility early on thanks to injuries to Donte Jackson and Eli Apple.
However, there are now some concerning cracks beginning to show in his play.
Douglas was smoked by promising rookie KJ Hamler for two big touchdowns in the second half and also gave up considerable yardage on a deep route after being left for dead by first-round pick Jerry Jeudy.
This will not have gone unnoticed by Green Bay’s legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers ahead of their game on Saturday Night Football this weekend.
The former West Virginia standout is officially fighting for his future in Carolina. Just how he gets on down the stretch is going to be key and Douglas needs to put this display at the back of his mind at the earliest possible opportunity.
