This is a daunting challenge facing the Carolina Panthers. Few teams go to Lambeau Field and gain success and given the form Matt Rhule’s men are currently in, it would be the upset of the 2020 season by some distance.
Difficult? Undoubtedly.
But not impossible.
If the Panthers can get off to a good start and put up some points, then there is nothing to suggest they cannot be competitive against high-quality opposition. Carolina has done this plenty of times this season, although it’s counted for nothing more often than not regarding a win in the column.
Conditions in Green Bay this time of year are brutal. It is cold and unwelcoming even with no fans in the stands due to COVID-19 restrictions. So if the Panthers aren’t up for the challenge they’ll get found out in a hurry.
Keeping Aaron Rodgers off the field is going to be crucial. The signal-caller is a devastating presence under center who is in the midst of arguably the finest campaign of his career and in Davante Adams, he has the NFL’s hottest wide receiver that has already gone over 1,100 yards this season.
Carolina needs to generate some early momentum.
If they don’t, it could be a long evening.
