Has Teddy Bridgewater become an outdated quarterback?

Teddy Bridgewater finds himself in a real predicament over the next three games. The quarterback faces a fight to convince people that he is the man to lead the Carolina Panthers moving forward. But some have already drawn their own conclusions after a season littered with inconsistencies.

This is a problem that only Teddy Bridgewater can solve. Coming into the Panthers at this particular stage wasn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination and his task only grew larger the moment Carolina decided to unceremoniously release iconic signal-caller, Cam Newton, with few starting opportunities available elsewhere.

Bridgewater has been solid, if not spectacular, this season.

But is the former first-round pick in danger of becoming an outdated quarterback?

It’s been five years since Bridgewater occupied a starting position in the NFL. Few would argue against him being deserving of this opportunity after everything the player went through following a freak training camp injury with the Minnesota Vikings that left his career in tatters.

But the league and its style of play wait for no man.

It was always going to take time to adjust, which is something not normally associated with players at the position. Bridgewater was on a hiding to nothing coming in and whether he can win people around over the next three games remains to be seen.
