Which Packers players should the Carolina Panthers be concerned about?

The Carolina Panthers have nothing to lose ahead of their trip to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday Night Football. They go into the contest as significant underdogs and could well be without the services of some key men through injury, including All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey.

Not having the former first-round pick in the lineup is something the Carolina Panthers have unfortunately gotten used to this season. Ankle, shoulder, and quad injuries have restricted McCaffrey to just three games in 2020 and there is a strong case to be made for sitting the player – healthy or not – over the final two encounters before the offseason period begins.

The Packers are looking to play a lot longer than the regular season. Everything points to another deep playoff run for Green Bay in Matt LaFleur’s second year at the helm and quarterback Aaron Rodgers looks a leading candidate for NFL MVP after proving his doubters wrong in no uncertain terms.

Here are four Packers players that the Panthers should be most concerned about ahead of a daunting clash at Lambeau Field this weekend.

Jaire Alexander – CB

Jaire Alexander a man at the top of his game. The cornerback is now widely regarding as one of the NFL’s best at the position and although the Panthers boast some formidable weapons in the passing game, getting yardage throwing in the former first-round pick’s direction is going to be difficult.

Alexander has exceptional athleticism that is matched by strong instincts when the football is in the air. He is sure to be tested to the limit by the likes of D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. But the corner goes into the game brimming with confidence after a standout campaign to date.
