Joey Slye- Carolina Panthers K

Call this a sophomore slump if you will, but Joey Slye’s field goal and extra point percentage are both worse than last year’s. On the bright side, he sits at the top-10 among kickers in actual points this season.

As he’s done all year, Slye bounced back from an imperfect performance the week prior by making both field-goal attempts and all of his extra-point tries against the Broncos.

If in-climate weather wasn’t enough to make this an unpalatable matchup, the Packers are only allowing 1.8 field goal attempts per game. If Slye gets the opportunities on Saturday night, can he be trusted to take advantage?

Carolina Panthers DST

I trusted the Carolina Panthers defense a week too late.

After two straight weeks of 17+ point outputs, the defense went back to their old ways. Against a turnover-prone quarterback in Drew Lock, the Panthers gave up 32 points and didn’t come close to getting pressure.

Lock was only sacked once and if not for a fumble caused by Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate Jeremy Chinn, he would have walked out of Bank of America Stadium with zero turnovers.

SIT.

Aaron Rodgers is having an MVP season and while no team is unbeatable, the Packers’ offense has to feel confident after watching the Carolina defense give up 32 to Denver.
