Teddy Bridgewater – Carolina Panthers QB

There might not be much in the way of pressure on the Carolina Panthers to pick up a positive result at Lambeau Field. But the same doesn’t apply to Teddy Bridgewater.

The quarterback is facing even more questions about his long-term future with the organization after two lackluster displays in recent weeks. If things continue in the same manner between now and the end of the campaign, it might see the Panthers alter their offseason plans and potentially bring in a franchise signal-caller for the future once it is financially viable to part ways with Bridgewater in 2022.

Nobody who has followed Bridgewater’s career would have begrudged him another chance to earn a prominent starting position in the NFL. His comeback story is an inspirational one and his record under center for the New Orleans Saints in 2019 – going 5-0 in Drew Brees’ absence – more than warranted another team making him a No. 1 option this time around.

However, his limitations are there for all to see.

Which is something we all knew coming in.

Bridgewater has been accurate with the football, which is a pretty moot point when it comes to his production at this stage. Getting it done in big moments has been a critical flaw in his play throughout the season and the glaring spotlight of the national stage will see his performance under the microscope in no uncertain terms once again.
