What are the keys to victory for the Carolina Panthers at the Packers?

We will find out plenty about what sort of determination and spirit is left within the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. A daunting challenge at the Green Bay Packers on Saturday Night Football sees their backs against the wall in no uncertain terms and after a disappointing run of recent results, now is the time for this young roster to stand up and be counted.

Matt Rhule is refusing to throw in the towel on the season despite the Carolina Panthers now guaranteed a losing record. Make no mistake, he will find out more about his players over the next few weeks than during any stage of the campaign.

Green Bay has some huge expectations in the postseason after a dominant season overall. But even though it appears highly doubtful the Panthers can emerge from a frigid Green Bay with any semblance of credit, they have done well in games where little was expected in 2020.

Here are three keys to victory for the Panthers as they go in search of the unlikeliest of wins at Lambeau Field in front of a national audience.

Run the ball effectively

Let’s be honest.

There isn’t much the Panthers can do to stop Aaron Rodgers and the Packers from gaining success when they’re on the field.

However, there are ways they can limit their production without relying too heavily on their young defense. Running the football is going to be key for Carolina in pursuit of an unlikely win, even though they will be missing the presence of Christian McCaffrey once again with a quad injury suffered during a personal workout.

Mike Davis has proven more than capable of filling in for the All-Pro and performing well above expectations. But Green Bay’s front seven is a forced to be reckoned with and the offensive line needs to do a better job of creating the lanes needed for the veteran to make his presence felt.
