Allen Lazard – WR

Allen Lazard is another prominent weapon in the passing attack that goes relatively under-the-radar. But it’s clear that the player has developed superb timing with quarterback Aaron Rodgers away from the gridiron.

Lazard had a breakout game in Week 3 at the New Orleans Saints, gaining 143 receiving yards and a touchdown from six receptions. But his momentum was halted by an injury that kept him off the field until Week 11.

This represented a real blow for the wideout, who has gained just 111 yards through the air in Lazard’s four games since returning. However, if the Carolina Panthers come to the conclusion he is an afterthought in Green Bay’s plans, it will be a mistake.

Rodgers is a master of deciphering the weak links in defensive schemes and distributing accordingly.

Lazard might be taking some time to accumulate the sort of numbers he generated before his injury. But if the player can hit his stride in time for the postseason, it will be another huge shot in the arm for a team who have high hopes of going one better in 2020 and winning the NFC Championship.

With Donte Jackson expected to be tasked with covering Davante Adams, the likes of Rasul Douglas and Troy Pride Jr. will go up against Lazard and his impressive ability to make plays if given the opportunity.
