Teddy Bridgewater – Carolina Panthers QB

It proved to be another less than stellar performance from Teddy Bridgewater. The quarterback is on a concerning downward slide and although his final stats don’t look too bad in the grand scheme of things, this doesn’t tell the full story.

Bridgewater lost a crucial fumble on the goal-line that swung momentum even further in favor of the Packers. A strong defensive resurgence in the second half gave the Carolina Panthers a chance to get themselves back into it. But they were once again found wanting down the stretch with the game on the line.

Not all Bridgewater’s fault.

But as every quarterback will tell you, they shoulder most of the blame.

The big-money signing in free agency has to finish the season strongly over the next two games. There appears to be some friction building between Bridgewater and head coach Matt Rhule. So it is apparent that the signal-caller is skating on thin ice.

Bridgewater finished the game with a 60 percent completion percentage, 278 yards, no touchdowns, and a QBR of 61.9. He averaged 7.8 yards-per-completion and also rushed for one score.

The Louisville product is sure to be tested by a standout defensive line in Washington next weekend and how Bridgewater gets on could have significant ramifications regarding his long-term aspirations.
