The three-game winning streak

After losing their first two games of 2020 against the Buccaneers and Raiders, the Carolina Panthers bounced back in the best possible manner to roll off three straight and get themselves to a 3-2 record. This did heighten expectations to a level that a young roster was unable to reach, but it was hard not to like the way they went about their business during this period.

Wins over the Chargers, Cardinals, and Falcons might not seem like much in the grand scheme of things. But it proved to be a significant milestone and one of the more positive things to take from a rollercoaster campaign from the organization.

The talent is obviously there.

But putting it all together has been the problem.

It was always going to be a work in progress this season for Carolina. So one could argue that their three-game streak from Weeks 3-5 came well ahead of schedule.

What occurred after was less than impressive, but it’s easy to forget how competitive Carolina has been against teams who are going to go deep into the postseason in the coming weeks.

Confidence is everything where a team like the Panthers are concerned. Looking back on this stretch of games would be a good place to start this offseason as they look to build some serious momentum next time around.
