D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

D.J. Moore once again showed why he is one of the most exciting wide receivers around in 2020. The former first-round pick may have had some chemistry issues with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater throughout the campaign, but he put up the sort of numbers that reflect his ability to perform on a consistent basis.

Moore broke the 1,000-yard barrier for the second straight season, making some truly dynamic plays along the way. People are still trying to figure out just how the Maryland product caught a deep throw by Bridgewater in double coverage against the Saints in their season finale, which was absolutely incredible, to put it mildly.

There were some who questioned Moore’s status as the No. 1 wideout thanks to the strong start made by Robby Anderson. Although the free-agent signing did manage to keep his level of production up during the season, there doesn’t appear any doubt as to who the best receiver in Carolina is.

Moore’s catch success rate was just 55.9 percent from 118 targets, which indicates that his chemistry with Bridgewater has to get better in the coming months providing the Panthers don’t bring in someone else to assume command under center during free agency or the 2021 NFL Draft.

Next season is a big one for Moore. There is little doubt the Panthers will pick up his fifth-year option, but the player will be looking for a mega-money deal that is more in keeping with the impact he’s made since arriving at the next level.
