Atlanta Falcons

If Joe Brady ended up with the Atlanta Falcons, it would be a big blow for the Carolina Panthers. Losing your offensive coordinator is one thing, but for him to take up a head coaching job with a divisional rival would be the worst-case scenario.

The Falcons wasted no time in interviewing Brady virtually, which could make him a lively outsider for the job. He wouldn’t be starting from scratch by any stretch of the imagination in Atlanta thanks to the talent currently on the roster. But there does appear to be some question marks surrounding their top talent who are advancing in age,

Speculation regarding Julio Jones being on the trade block didn’t take long to surface following the campaign. And there might be an opportunity for the Falcons to find a long-term successor for quarterback Matt Ryan in the 2021 NFL Draft if the right opportunity comes along at No. 4 overall.

Generally speaking, the offense isn’t the problem in Atlanta. This might see the organization go with a more defensive-minded head coach to bolster their fortunes and considering Brady’s background, it wouldn’t leave him high on the shortlist.

However, with players such as Calvin Ridley, Grady Jarrett, Foyesade Oluokun, AJ Terrell, and Russell Gage on the roster, there would be worse places for Brady to end up.
