Deshaun Watson could be the statement GM Scott Fitterer needs

The Carolina Panthers would have fierce competition for Watson
Even if the Houston Texans made Deshaun Watson available for trade given his ability to cause further disruption during the offseason, there appear to be far more teams who could put together better packages in their pursuit of acquiring the signal-caller.
Watson is reportedly keen on the Miami Dolphins, who have the Texan’s No. 3 overall selection this year and might also be willing to give up Tua Tagovailoa after just one year in the league. This might be a little harsh on the former Alabama sensation, but the NFL is a win at all costs business.
Scott Fitterer would need to get creative if the Carolina Panthers decided to go for broke and bring Watson back to the area after he starred for Clemson in college. The very prospect of trading for such a dynamic player has the team’s passionate fanbase salivating at the mouth on social media, even if their desires are more in the way of hope than expectation.
This is a situation that isn’t going away anytime soon. Watson appears ready to hold his ground and is receiving plenty of support from other players across the league, which is piling even more pressure on Houston’s new general manager Nick Caserio.
Texans owner Cal McNair has endured a turbulent time of late, although he is reportedly willing to get Watson involved in a head coaching search. However, this might be too little, too late and if Fitterer is looking to make a splash early in his tenure, trading for such a special talent would be a good place to start.
