Could the Carolina Panthers appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks this year?

The Carolina Panthers are one of the teams to keep a close eye on this offseason. They have a promising young roster, a head coach in Matt Rhule who made a successful transition from the college ranks, and a new general manager in Scott Fitterer who has some big upcoming decisions to make both during free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft.

What comes next for the Carolina Panthers will go a long way to determining whether or not the organization can propel itself back into playoff contention in 2021. They have a solid foundation from which to build, but there promises to be plenty of player turnover once again with 25 individuals out of contract and financial resources coming down a significant amount due to COVID-19 revenue losses.

This should all-but ensure that events off the field in the coming months will be more eventful than what transpires before the Panthers are ready to hit training camp. How this is held will be completely dependent on what the pandemic situation looks like by then. But hopefully, things may have improved enough for things to run a lot smoother than they did in 2020.

Carolina might also get the chance to appear on one of the most popular running NFL programs when camp rolls around. According to the criteria, the Panthers are one of the leading contenders to participate on HBO’s Hard Knocks, which gets rare access to a team’s training camp, roster building, and other incredible footage behind the scenes.

Whether Rhule and the Panthers would accept an offer is up to debate. But they do appear to be one of the frontrunners providing the requirements don’t alter between now and decision time.
