Yetur Gross-Matos is reportedly going to be working with Carolina Panthers stud defensive end Brian Burns and his brother Stanley McClover this offseason.

There was a lot to like about the contribution made by Yetur Gross-Matos during his rookie season with the Carolina Panthers. The No. 38 overall pick showed flashes of brilliance when he was on the field, but he’ll look back on the campaign with an obvious sense of frustration through no real fault of his own.

Gross-Matos suffered an ankle injury, had a concussion, and even spent time on the reserve/COVID-19 list to further hamper his ability to make a real impact during his first season in a professional environment. The former Penn State standout will be hoping for better luck next time around and he has reportedly enlisted the help of a current and former roster member to help him reach new heights.

Stanley McClover, who is the brother of stud defensive end Brian Burns, revealed in a tweet that the pair will be spending time with Gross-Matos during the offseason period. This is sure to be an invaluable experience for the player and one that could come with a significant increase in production when competitive action begins in 2021.

The Panthers are entering an important preparation period as they look to boost their postseason chances. New general manager Scott Fitterer will be working closely with head coach Matt Rhule on a clear and concise plan that gives the franchise a sustainable future and helps them progress next season and beyond.

Gross-Matos is sure to play a key role in any success that comes Carolina’s way. But how much effort he puts in during the weeks and months ahead is going to be crucial.
