Liam Eichenberg – OT (Notre Dame)

The Carolina Panthers might be on the lookout for a new left tackle if they don’t bring Russell Okung back as expected. Considering how much the going rate is for veteran players on the free-agent market, it might be worth bringing in an exciting prospect during the 2021 NFL Draft that could sure up the edge long-term.

Liam Eichenberg saw his stock rise considerably in 2020 after a series of outstanding displays for the Fighting Irish. His technique and body frame are already ready for the next level and there is every chance the tackle could become a first-round pick if he impresses during the evaluation process.

Eichenberg needs to work on his footwork against what is sure to be speedier edge rushers in the NFL. But there is a lot to like about his professionalism and transferable skills.

Jevon Holland – S (Oregon)

Versatility was something Matt Rhule sought heavily during his first year with the Panthers. Jevon Holland possesses this in abundance and although he is listed as a safety, the prospect can line up on the outside as a cornerback or even in the slot if required.

His communication comes across well on tape, as does Holland’s fluidity and anticipation before the ball is released. There is just no telling how much the Oregon sensation can get in the future and the prospect of Carolina pairing him with Jeremy Chinn on the backend is a mouth-watering one for the team’s loyal fanbase.
