Could Panthers pounce if Aaron Rodgers becomes available?

What Rodgers would bring to the Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have made their intentions clear. They are going to explore every avenue at the quarterback position in a bid to progress the organization after Teddy Bridgewater’s inconsistent level of production this season and if that means bringing in an experienced player such as Aaron Rodgers, then so be it.
There are obvious complications surrounding the deal which have nothing to do with Rodgers’ performances on the field. But if the Panthers could somehow get someone of his caliber to the organization, it would represent a significant statement of intent.
Rodgers might be heading into the twilight of his career. However, there is nothing to suggest that is doesn’t have two or three good years left.
He has worked miracles with little in the way of talent around him outside of Davante Adams over the last few years. So the prospect of Rodgers propelling the likes of Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore, and perhaps even Ian Thomas to new heights is a mouth-watering one.
General manager Scott Fitterer stated the Panthers want to be “in on every deal” when it comes to improving the roster. Players with the track record of Rodgers don’t become available every day and if the price for someone like Deshaun Watson is simply too steep, it might be worth the decision-makers rolling the dice with one of the league’s greatest-ever players at the position from a statistical standpoint.
