Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
Of all the free-agent moves made by the Carolina Panthers in 2020, Robby Anderson was one of the best. Teaming up with his former college coach Matt Rhule once again was an inspired decision from all parties involved and one that has taken the wide receiver’s game to new heights.
Anderson came to the Panthers with a reputation for being a deep-threat and not much else. However, the level of production he demonstrated early on left no doubt that the player was criminally misused by the New York Jets during his career.
The former undrafted prospect out of Temple made an immediate impact that eventually saw him reach the 1,000-yard receiving milestone for the first time in his career. Anderson was a little hit and miss during the second half of the season once teams figured out his ability to impact the game all over the field, but that should not detract from how much the player exceeded expectations.
Considering Anderson’s contract is up for renewal in 2022, it might be worth the Panthers putting a couple more years on there to solidify the wide receiver position.

4 Panthers players who should be easy cuts this offseason
There are plenty of big decisions for the Carolina Panthers during the 2021 offseason, but cutting these five players should be easy.
D.J. Moore could also fall into this category as previously stated, which will be even more essential if Curtis Samuel departs in free agency as expected.
