Jaylen Twyman – DT (Pittsburgh)

Getting a couple more reinforcements on the defensive front won’t hurt the Carolina Panthers. They made great strides as the season went on and there is just no telling how much better the unit can get with another offseason period to develop.

Anyone that’s read our mock drafts in recent weeks knows how high we are on Jaylen Twyman. The Pittsburgh defensive tackle has gone somewhat under the radar after opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 health concerns. But his talent for getting after the quarterback from the three-technique is something that could be highly advantageous from the Panthers’ perspective.

Providing Efe Obada is brought back, there wouldn’t be a tremendous amount of pressure on Twyman contributing right away given the presence of Zach Kerr. This would allow the player to get up to speed at his own pace and potentially making a big difference on the rotation.

Deommodore Lenoir – CB (Oregon)

The Panthers need some extra assistance within their cornerback ranks. Corn Elder and Rasul Douglas are out of contract, which put even more pressure on the rookie duo of Troy Pride Jr. and Stantley Thomas-Oliver bringing their respective games on a considerable amount this offseason.

Getting in another impressive athlete at the position wouldn’t hurt. Deommodore Lenoir definitely fits this type of mold, with the Oregon prospect emerging as a willing tackler at the second level who possesses some nice fluidity going down the field with opposing wide receivers.
