  • 2020 team – Las Vegas Raiders

According to a recent report, the Las Vegas Raiders could be about to go all-in to land Deshaun Watson via the trade market. This would obviously leave Derek Carr on the outside looking in, bringing an end to what has been an up and down career with the organization.

Carr has so many nice intangibles and has gone over 4,000 passing yards in three straight seasons. But there seems to be something brewing in Las Vegas as Jon Gruden wants to get his team into the postseason discussion after flattering to deceive in 2020.

The former first-round pick would attract some interest from other organizations across the league. And there is every chance he could do well in a different environment.

However, if the Carolina Panthers are thinking of making a move, they should approach with caution.

This would be an upgrade on Teddy Bridgewater.

But by how much?

Carr does get the ball downfield better, of that, there is little doubt. However, the Raiders aren’t just going to give him away and the price might be a little too rich for someone who has wilted under pressure in some critical moments throughout his career.

There are better options than Carr available. So if this turns out to be a last resort for the Panthers if the quarterback ends up on the trade block, it’s one they should give a miss.
