Outstanding production

It didn’t take long to figure out that the Baltimore Ravens got a real draft steal with Orlando Brown. The former Oklahoma Sooner made a big impression from the moment he stepped onto the field and the level of consistency the player has generated over the last two seasons cemented his place as one of the league’s best young tackles.

Brown has played 2,892 snaps over his three years in a professional environment. He’s given up just six sacks and conceded 11 penalties during this span, which is further proof of just what a special player he is.

This sort of reliability and ability to play through pain is sure to make Brown a hot commodity on the trade market if the Ravens grant his request. The Carolina Panthers would look completely different from a protection standpoint if they were able to pull this sort of deal off and depending on what they have to give up in return, it would allow them to turn their attentions to other needs in free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft.

The lineman came of age this season on his way to an outstanding 76.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. Brown’s desire to be a left tackle for the remainder of his career is something the Panthers could accommodate happily, but whether they can put together the right sort of package is another matter entirely.
