Two major trades involving the Carolina Panthers this offseason were highlighted in a recent article published by The Bleacher Report.

The Carolina Panthers could be extremely active during the offseason. There are numerous holes that need to be filled across the board and almost half of their current roster out of contract for good measure. So new general manager Scott Fitterer is going to get a crash course in running an organization and doing what’s necessary to get the team back to prominence sooner rather than later.

This will be even more difficult considering money is tight due to COVID-19 losses. The Panthers aren’t the only team in the league dealing with potential complications, of that there is little doubt. But there could still be a bit of leeway to make moves providing the necessary cuts are made – however tough they might be.

Bringing in another batch of talented college recruits would be a good place to start. One only has to look at the impact 2020’s NFL Draft class made on the whole to see how much this benefitted the Panthers and another couple of home runs could make all the difference in the current climate.

Free agency is going to be a wild ride considering how many players are looking for new deals. And there is also the quarterback situation to take into account given Carolina’s clear desire to get an upgrade on Teddy Bridgewater following an indifferent year under center.

With the top-three quarterbacks set to be off the board by the time Carolina is on the clock at No. 8 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. It means the Panthers must be bold in their pursuit of an upgrade at the position, which won’t be easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Brent Sobleski of The Bleacher Report recently published his thoughts on the ideal trade scenario for every NFL team, which involved one incoming and a well-known departure.
