Coaching at the 2021 Senior Bowl was a significant boost to the Carolina Panthers with the evaluation process looking far different this year due to COVID-19. This inside knowledge of working with some top prospects is going to be a tremendous asset to call upon and will serve them well when it comes to deciding just what sort of recruits to bring into the organization from the college level.

One player who did his chances no harm at all in Mobile, Alabama is Amari Rodgers. The talented wide receiver showed off his outstanding skillset throughout the week, which followed on from a superb final season at Clemson that was easily the best of his fledgling career.

Rodgers emerged as a favorite target of Trevor Lawrence on his way to 77 receptions, 1,020 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns. This was a substantial leap after being used primarily as a rotational weapon over his first three years with the Tigers, with his best work coming out of the slot.

Curtis Samuel looks set to leave the Panthers in free agency. So bringing in someone who is capable of making his presence felt from the word go in the passing game is going to be crucial.

Rodgers looks more than capable of this thanks to his dependability and physicality off the block. But whether his recent surge-up draft boards make the wideout out of reach is up for debate.
