Justin Fields – QB

Teddy Bridgewater’s time with the Carolina Panthers appears to be over after just one season. The quarterback wasn’t able to convince doubters he could lead the organization moving forward and the decision-makers are looking to make a big splash to bring in a potential replacement in the coming weeks.

If they don’t manage to land Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans, then the best option could be to acquire one of the top signal-callers entering the league via the 2021 NFL Draft. One such prospect that will be high on the shortlist is Justin Fields, who is an exceptionally talented individual that could alter the future of the franchise with a smooth transition.

Yes, Ohio State quarterbacks haven’t found things easy in the NFL over the years.

But that should not detract from what an outstanding player Fields could become.

Fields boasts a career completion percentage of 68.4 percent and has absolutely no trouble slinging the football downfield at will. His awareness in the pocket is first-class, with the prospect possessing the sort of mobility to make plays on the run that is currently all the rage in today’s NFL.

Some analysts are predicting Fields takes a tumble in the draft. But the likely scenario is that if the Panthers want the signal-caller, they’ll have to make a trade up to acquire him.

If they strike out on Watson or another veteran target, this is something well worth it considering how transferable Fields’ skills are to Joe Brady’s offensive scheme.
