The arrival of new general manager Scott Fitterer from the Seattle Seahawks is sure to bring plenty of speculation about players he’s associated with from his previous employer coming to the Carolina Panthers. Whether this is something that comes to fruition remains to be seen, but they do have plenty of talent embarking on free agency this month and not much in the way of financial resources to keep them around.

One player who is going somewhat under the radar is Cedric Ogbuehi. The tackle was used as a backup option in Seattle last season and performed well when called up. So if the Panthers are looking for a cheaper option who could become a real steal in free agency, a discussion needs to be had regarding a potential move for the former first-round pick.

Ogbuehi may not have lived up to his billing after being taken No. 21 overall out of Texas A&M back in 2015. But his athleticism and quick-feet could be a major asset to the Panthers at the right price.

The player hasn’t been on the field much over the last three years. However, Carolina’s backups don’t look to be the strongest by any stretch of the imagination and if they decide to allocate one of the top NFL Draft picks on a left tackle, a better option on the depth chart who could make a difference wouldn’t hurt at all.
