Adoree’ Jackson – CB

Despite the Carolina Panthers agreeing to terms with Rashaan Melvin, they are still on the lookout for a prominent starter at cornerback to put opposite Donte Jackson next season. This is a crucial area that needs to be filled and if they find the right man, it’s going to help a defense that made some real strides in 2020 and looks set to be a real force with their recent signings.

Adoree’ Jackson may have struggled to live up to his billing as the No. 18 overall selection back in 2017. But his physical attributes alone could indicate that it’s a little too soon to be giving up on the player just yet.

One thing Jackson has going for him that the Panthers obviously love is blazing speed. He is a real burner going down the field and although the USC product struggles to identify the football through the air on occasions, if someone can work on this technical aspect of the game then they will have a real player on their hands.

Jackson was officially cut loose by the Tennessee Titans earlier this week, so expect the corner to be one of the names off the market when the second wave period begins in the not-too-distant future. The Panthers should put in a call at the very least and if he can finally start realizing his potential, it would be a big positive.
