Carolina Panthers face a long wait for potential Deshaun Watson trade

How Watson’s situation impact the Carolina Panthers
Just what is going to come from the civil suits surrounding Deshaun Watson is yet to be decided. However, the potential impact on the Carolina Panthers’ plans for progression could be significant.
They are fully focused on returning Watson to an area where he became a college star at Clemson and considering the moves made by the organization during the early stages of free agency, the signal-caller might just be the missing piece to the puzzle.
This is obviously going to be a waiting game where Carolina is concerned. All they can do is let the matter resolve itself one way or another and those in power are sure to come up with a contingency plan in the event their chances of trading for Watson diminish.
Carolina is doing its due diligence when it comes to scouting the top quarterback prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft, with Matt Rhule, Scott Fitterer, and Joe Brady all present at Trey Lance’s pro day at North Dakota State.
If the Panthers are as fixated as reported on getting Watson, this situation comes at the worst possible time. Adjusting plans at this stage is all part of the ever-changing world of the NFL and as with any other suitor for the player, it is simply a case of letting things run their course and reacting accordingly.
