Justin Fields – Ohio State

It’s clear that fans of the Carolina Panthers want more excitement and dynamic ability from their starting quarterback. This is something they’ve had in abundance over the years thanks to Cam Newton and if supporters were hoping Teddy Bridgewater would have the same sort of impact, they were out of luck.

Step forward, Justin Fields. The Ohio State prospect has enjoyed a phenomenal college career that is sure to make a successful transition to the pro ranks and he seems to have every tool in his arsenal to become a prolific starter.

There appears to be some doubt as to where Fields will go in the 2021 NFL Draft. Zach Wilson and Trey Lance are generating the most buzz at the present time, but the signal-caller’s body of work will ensure there will be teams clamoring to acquire his services if he falls out of the top four.

Again, if the Panthers want Fields, they will need to move up and take him. Much will depend on how the draft plays out in front of them, but if the Buckeye falls to the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 5, this is a realistic proposition that wouldn’t cost a substantial amount in the way of compensation.

Fields has the potential to be special. The Panthers have plenty of weapons to utilize and Joe Brady’s offensive scheme looks tailormade for the prospect.
