Could the Carolina Panthers do something bold to get one of the top quarterback prospects in pursuit of an upgrade in the 2021 NFL Draft?

There is plenty at stake for the Carolina Panthers during the 2021 NFL Draft. The organization made an impressive start to free agency by acquiring some veteran impact players on good deals, but this will need to be enhanced by another exceptional batch of college recruits to keep Matt Rhule’s men going in the right direction.

This year’s evaluation process has been far different due to COVID-19 restrictions, which has seen teams across the league adjust to the new normal in accordance with an ever-changing pandemic situation that seems to be commonplace across the globe. The Panthers got a good look at some exciting recruits during their time coaching at the Senior Bowl, with those in power putting in the air miles to attend some significant pro days in recent weeks.

All this will stand them in good stead as Carolina looks to bring the right sort of characters into the organization who can assist from the word go. If they can do this, then a postseason challenge won’t be far behind.

Carolina Panthers may go bold for a new QB.

There is the obvious cloud hanging over Teddy Bridgewater that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Carolina has left no stone unturned when it comes to finding a potential upgrade at quarterback and if they decide that one of the top signal-callers coming out of the collegiate ranks this year fits the bill, they’ll have to make a bold move up to acquire them.

With this in mind, we used the Pro Football Focus mock draft simulator to see which direction the Panthers might go, which starts with a surge up the board to get a quarterback with outstanding potential.
